House and Senate Passed HB285

Today, both the House and Senate adopted the Conference Committee report on HB285 by voice votes. This bill allows non-public meetings to consider verbal or written legal advice. The committee report was written by Rep. Joseph Hagan:

The House and Senate conferees agreed to a compromise which incorporates the language from the Senate version regarding nonpublic meetings as provided in the House version.

The Conference Committee report included an amended version of the bill.  The amended bill now goes to the Governor.
