The Senate Public and Municipal Affairs Committee has scheduled a hearing on a Right-to-Know bill on Wednesday, April 20, 2016. The hearing for HB1395 on allowing electronic portable document format files for long term records is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. The hearing will be in room 102 of the Legislative Office Building (LOB) which is directly behind the State House in Concord, NH.
RTKNH supports this bill with amendment. RTKNH would amend this bill to encourage using textual PDF files that can be easily searched and copied instead of images. The public is invited to attend this hearing and RTKNH encourages those who support this bill to come to the hearing to show your support. Directions from around the state are available here.
If you can’t attend the hearing but still want to express your support, please write to the Senate Public and Municipal Affairs Committee or a member of the committee, particularly if they are your representative. Contact information including all the members of the committee is available here. The chair of the committee can be reached by email at Regina.Birdsell@leg.state.nh.us.
