House Bill 613 to extend the Right-to-Know Law with a new exemption for names and addresses in license applications has been introduced in the N.H. House and assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. This bill is sponsored by Rep. Tara Sad (D), Rep. Carol McGuire (R), Sen. John Reagan (R).
This bill adds a new phrase to RSA 91-A:5, IV that exempts a new class of records: “names and addresses contained in license applications, other than professional license applications;” Here is the full revised section on record exemptions:
IV. Records pertaining to internal personnel practices; confidential, commercial, or financial information; names and addresses contained in license applications, other than professional license applications; test questions, scoring keys, and other examination data used to administer a licensing examination, examination for employment, or academic examinations; and personnel, medical, welfare, library user, videotape sale or rental, and other files whose disclosure would constitute invasion of privacy.
