House Bill 181 to strengthen the Right-to-Know Law section on non-meetings has been introduced in the N.H. House and assigned to the House Judiciary Committee. This bill is sponsored by Rep. Jacqueline Cali-Pitts (D).
This bill renumbers the sections under RSA 91-A:2, I so that the list of exemptions from meetings, also called non-meetings, are numbered RSA 91-A:2, I(b)(1)(A)-(D). This bill then adds this new section as RSA 91-A:2, I(b)(2):
(2) A public body which holds a non-meeting for the purposes of subparagraphs (1)(A)-(D) shall state the reason for the non-meeting, limit discussion to only the stated topic, take attendance, and keep a record of when the non-meeting began and ended.
